In the monograph, the tendencies and directions of the establishment of Western democracy have been examined, as well as the role of democratic centers in the spread of democratic freedoms. The US support programs during the two world wars and the post-war period have been presented. In the key parts of the monograph, the US support programs for the democracy of Armenia and Georgia have been examined, highlighting the socio-political results of this support using the comparative political science method. The monograph addresses the obstacles to the establishment of democracy in Armenia and Georgia, the real socio-political results in the comprehensive context of the establishment of the American factor. The researched period includes the second Armenian Velvet Revolution until 2018; accordingly, the monograph does not refer to the post-revolutionary period either.

The monograph is intended for humanities faculties of the universities, the expert and political science community, as well as political journalists and analysts, and is an important impulse on the way to the establishment of American studies in Armenia.
