The monograph has the task of highlighting the mental and spiritual relations of Armenians with the ancient (Greco-Roman) environment. It spans different historical eras, from classical Athens to the declining Roman Republic and early medieval Armenia. In terms of content, it refers to transformed paradigms of meaning and history, social play and theater, historiography and national identity. These approaches determined the structure of the monograph, consisting of three typological parts: "Wisdom and history", "Friendly game, theatricality and history", "Wisdom in the synthesis of history". These points of view are met by prominent figures of the past who were involved in the general mental and spiritual plasma of the West: Plotinus and Movses Khorenatsi, Pericles-Socrates and Artavazd II, Sallustius and Eghishe. Their meeting platform is the opposite perspective of the modern researcher, capable of overcoming the objective boundaries of historical time and space.
