The work is the first attempt to present to the reader in Armenian the complete history of Armenia’s century-old neighbor Iran, starting from ancient times, when the first state formations appeared on the Iranian plateau, and the rich Iranian culture and political life began to develop.

In the work, due attention was paid to the coverage of Armenian-Iranian historical relations, from the beginning of the history of the two nations to the present day.


The book also devotes a significant place to revealing the rich Iranian culture and its place and role in the treasury of world cultural values and centuries-old achievements of civilization.


It is intended for Iranologists, Orientalists, historians, specialists in international relations, professors and students of higher education institutions, as well as a wide range of readers.


The seventeenth chapter of the book (Culture of Iran) was written by candidate of historical sciences Ashot Stepanyan.
