The monograph includes a study of the vocabulary of 12 authors and sources, starting with the translation of the Bible and ending with the father of historiography Movses Khorenatsi, the General Christian Vardapet (doctor-monk) Grigor Narekatsi and the enlightener Khachatur Abovyan. In fact, these are the most famous, classic and exemplary sources of Grabar (Old Armenian). In these original sources, the vocabulary of the ancient Armenian language has been researched in many ways: on semantic, word-formative levels, with the identification of neologisms, newly formed terms, etc. e. In different chapters of the work, the terminological units of the vocabulary of Grabar have been presented with the indication of their dictionary meaning. To understand their functioning in speech, the authors present these words in original sentences, and if necessary, they refer to their polysemy.

The research may be useful to philologists, historians, theologians, and in general to everyone who is interested in the development of the Armenian language and the enrichment of the vocabulary.
