The “Criminal Procedure” textbook was prepared by the professorial staff of the Chair of Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics of the YSU Faculty of Law. It is written in accordance with the general provisions and the structure of pre-trial proceedings of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia, which entered into force on July 1, 2022. It covers all issues constituting the content of pre-trial proceedings in alignment with the “RA Criminal Procedure-1” course curriculum.

The textbook provides a detailed analysis of all fundamental innovations within the Code, the decisions of the RA Constitutional Court, as well as the precedential rulings of the ECHR (European Court of Human Rights) and the RA Court of Cassation.

The textbook is based on the achievements of modern criminal procedure theory, criminal procedure legislation, and the practice of its application.

It is intended for students, PhD students, and lecturers of law faculties, as well as for employees of the law enforcement and judicial systems, and those interested in the fundamental problems of criminal procedure.
