During the research conducted for Seryozha Manukyan's book “Armenian Divine and Heroic Powers and Symbols”, an attempt was made to uncover Armenian mythology and folklore through detailed observation and discussion from various perspectives (historical, modern, logical, semantic, esoteric, symbolic, and hermeneutic) of deep layers of the ancient Armenian tribal spirit, the knowledge and preservation of which over time have been significantly distorted by the influence of various foreign religions and ideologies. The author sees the uncovering, definition, and application of these layers as a prerequisite for the restoration and awakening of the integrity of the Armenian spirit, culture, and life.

In order to fulfill the task set before him, the author considered it necessary, first of all, to discuss and present in a new way the question of the historical-literary-artistic and cultural-philosophical interpretation of the deities of the Armenian pantheon, then, having presented a unique understanding and interpretation of the forces and symbols of the masterpiece of Armenian folklore “The Daredevils of Sassoun”, and then, having presented and partially discussed a number of modern attempts to interpret the deities of the Armenian pantheon, to share his unique experience with readers.

Key words and concepts of the study: a) deities: Creator Ara (Aramazd), Divine Mother Anahit, Deity Vahagn, Goddess Astghik, Deity Miher, Deity Tir, Goddess Naneh; b) Heroic-mythological symbols: Garden, Living Lord, Mother of God, God, Cross of War, Qurkik Jalali, Giant Hero, Raven Stone.

The book is intended for Armenian mythologists, historians, philosophers, philologists, as well as for a wide range of readers wishing to immerse themselves in the mysterious world of Armenian mythology.
