Today, Charents Museum of Literature and Art hosted the 8th Annual Award Ceremony “Art of the Book”. It is organized by the RA Ministry of Culture. This year the competition was held in 9 nominations.
The competition aims to raise the level of production of publishing culture, promotion of cooperation and competitiveness between publishers, best publishing technologies propaganda, etc.
This year YSU Publishing House also participated in the competition. For the first time books of YSU Publishing House received diplomas in several categories in 3 nominations.
Leo’s monograph “The Armenian Question Documentary” and the book “The US Foreign Policy and Western Armenians” authored by A. Kirakosyan received 2nd and 3rd category diplomas in the nomination “The Armenian Genocide - 100”.
The textbook “The Armenian History” and Edik Minasyan’s monograph “Third Republic of Armenia” also received 2nd and 3rd category diplomas in the nomination “The Academic Literature and Education”.
The book “History of the Turkish Republic” received 2nd category diploma in the nomination “Science and Innovation”.
The content, as well as the cover design, font comfort (pagination), bookbinding excellence, etc. has been taken into consideration during the assessment of the works.
In September of 2015 YSU publishing House participated in the international competition “The Art of the Book” held for the CIS countries and received 3rd category diploma in the nomination “Teaching Literature and Education”, which was conferred today.
“It is very gratifying that the work of the Publishing House of Yerevan State University has been highly assessed at the local and international levels. Participation in the international book fairs, such competitions, exhibitions, serves as a stimulus to work better,” - says Karen Grigoryan, Director of YSU Publishing House.
