BOOK PRESENTATION
A number of new valuable books on the Armenian genocide are at the disposal of the Armenian readers from now on.

Today, a presentation of books, published by YSU Publishing House, was organized at YSU. The event was dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the Armenian printing, as well as the proclamation of Yerevan World Book Capital 2012.

Among the books published were: four-volume The Turks about Turks, a book by Jacob Kyuntsler In the Country of Blood and Tears, a poem by Hovhannes Shiraz Ani, memoirs by Zoravar Andranik Battle of the Monastery Arakelots, a book by Turkologist Alexander Safaryan, Ziya Gokalp and Basics of Turkish Studies, Lusine Sahakyans Toponyms of Hamshen.

The participants were welcomed by YSU Vice-rector on Scientific Policy and International Cooperation Gegham Gevorgyan, who highlighted the importance of such works and their role not only in the process of the dissemination of information on the Armenian Case, but also in the education of future generations.

In recent years, YSU Publishing House is engaged in very serious activities, issuing numerous valuable books on Armenology, its most tragic pages and the following periods, - said Gegham Gevorgyan.

A welcoming speech was also made by the Director of YSU Publishing House Perch Stepanyan, who expressed special gratitude to the Government of Armenia, in particular the Ministry of Culture in the person of Hasmik Poghosyan, as well as the management of YSU for the assistance in such an important matter for every Armenian.

Perch Stepanyan, alongside with the scheduled publications, also presented a number of other works, which have been published on the anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

The authors of books also spoke about their works, briefly presenting the enclosed information in the books, sources, the implemented researches.

The event was also attended by the deans of faculties, lecturers, students and other guests.
