BOOK PRESENTATION AT "QUANT" COLLEGE
YSU SSS Chairman Mikayel Malkhasyan has published the 2nd revised version of his monograph "Oshakan".

The monograph has been published by the Publishing House of Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. The book is intended for historians, tourists, tourism coordinators, students and wide range of readers. The presentation was organized at Quant College on December 22.

The book was first published in 2007, when I studied at this college, so I decided to organize the presentation with my classmates and tutors, - said the author.

This book was approved for publication by the Academic Council of YSU Faculty of History. The author expressed his gratitude to the specialists of the Chair of Armenian History, who have supported him.

Reviews of the book were written by the Head of Chair of Armenian History, NAS RA Associate Member, Doctor of History, Professor Babken Harutyunyan, Head of Chair of Archaeology and Ethnography, Doctor of History, Professor Hayk Avetisyan and Head of Baccalaureate Division, Candidate of Geographical Sciences, Associate Professor Gurgen Hovhannisyan.

The second edition is significantly different from the first one, as there are serious content revisions. The author has shown a different approach to the issues, - said Gurgen Hovhannisyan.

Editor of the book, historian Lena Asryan highlighted the fact that the author points out the goal of his research, focusing on general geographic characteristics, history, architectural monuments, and tourism development opportunities of Oshakan Village.

College tutors and scholars also made comments on the monograph. The author also expressed his gratitude to the Director of the College, Candidate of Physico-mathematical Sciences Robert Vardanyan.

This edition is very useful for pupils, as they get the desire to make researches in future. We should wish good health to the author of the monograph, - said Robert Vardanyan.

The event ended with the blessing by the Archimandrite Malkhasyan.
