MIGRATION ISSUES WERE SUMMARIZED IN BOOKS
Today, a presentation of books on migration was held in the Hall of Sessions of YSU Academic Council.

The collection “Armenians around the World: Migration and Transnationality” and book “The Interrelation of Migration and Reproduction of Human Capital in Armenia” were presented today at the initiative of YSU and “Caucasus Research Resource Center (CRRC) – Armenia” foundation.

The participants were welcomed by YSU Vice-rector on Students, Alumni and Public Relations Ruben Markosyan, who noted that the subject is topical for Armenia.

“As an academic community, the participation of the experienced professionals and youth in such events is quite important for us. The holding of thematic debates is also of great significance,” – he said.

The Director of the CRRC-Armenia Heghine Manasyan added that migration has become one of the most important issues for all stratum of the society, which tends to develop and expand.

Then the Dean of the Faculty of Sociology Arthur Mkrtichyan, who is the editor of the collection “Armenians around the World: Migration and Transnationality”, spoke about the issues, included in the book and presented the authors of this work.

The book focuses on the migration of Armenians in the world, including Armenia’s relationship with the Armenian communities abroad.

The book “The Interrelation of Migration and Reproduction of Human Capital in Armenia” was presented by YSU lecturer, Doctor of Economics Harutyun Marzpanyan.

The book focuses on the interrelation of migration and reproduction of human capital in Armenia, based on the critical analysis of the theory of human capital, highlighting the risks of migration.

The book, edited by Harutyun Marzpanyan, Ruben Markosyan and the Associate Professor at the Faculty of Sociology Sedrak Astvatsaturov, includes the researches of not only lecturers, but also students. It has been published by YSU Publishing House.
