The Republic of Armenia took part in this prestigious international book fair with the support of the State Commission Coordinating the Events, Dedicated to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide.
The Armenian pavilion exhibited over 250 books published by state and private offices. This was the literature in historical, artistic, scientific genres in Armenian, English and French.
Among the books, published by YSU, we should highlight about “Contribution of Armenians to the Ottoman Empire” by Hasmik Stepanyan (Armenian and Turkish versions), “Martyr Armenia in the Country of Terror” by Henri Barbie, “Hachen and Armenian Massacres” by Rose Lambert and “Extermination of Armenians: German Method, Turkish Work” by Rene Pino.
“The availability of literature especially now is very important, as the issue of the Armenian Genocide is being discussed on a global level. And most importantly, our book publishing sector should focus on the genocide from different sides,” - said Karen Grigoryan, the Director of YSU Publishing House.
Writers from different cities of the USA presented their books and projects, some of which were being presented for the first time.
We should add that the books, published by YSU Publishing House, were presented at the Frankfurt International Book Fair in October of 2014 and in November in Istanbul, as well as at Paris Book Fair in March of 2015.
