BOOKS PUBLISHED BY YSU AT PARIS BOOK FAIR
This year, the traditional Paris Book Fair was held on March 20-23.

The Republic of Armenia took part in this prestigious international event with the support of the Commission Coordinating the Events Commemorating the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide. The delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Culture of the RA Nerses Ter-Vardanyan.

The Armenian pavilion exhibited around 200 books, published by state and private publishing houses, including fiction, historical, artistic, scientific literature in Armenian, English and French languages. A separate section was allocated to the Armenian Genocide thematic. YSU had also exhibited books, dedicated to this issue.

Among the books, published by YSU we should note about Leo’s “The documentaries of the Armenian Question” (republished version of published in 1915 book), Alexei Jivilegov’s “Turkey and the Armenian Question”, monograph of Arman Kirakosyan “US Foreign Policy and Western Armenians (19th century-1914), Levon Hovsepyan’s “Turkey’s defensive system modernization and reform of the security sector”, Julia Yesayan’s “Armenian toponyms and the changes made by Turks”, Seda Gasparyan’s “The Armenian Genocide a Linguocognitive Perspective”.

“We pay great attention to the literature in foreign languages especially now, when the Armenian Genocide issue is debated at the global level. And our publishing sphere should focus on foreign language books, where all aspects of the Armenian Genocide will be presented,” - said Director of YSU Publishing House Karen Grigoryan.

The books in French language, issued by French publishers, were next to the Armenian books.

The program of the Armenian pavilion came to its finish line with the round table “The role of the intelligentsia in the prevention of genocides” with the participation of the Armenian and French intellectuals.

In October and November of 2014 YSU Publishing House participated in the book fairs of Frankfurt and Istanbul respectively.
