1989: defended a dissertation in history and received his PhD in history.
(Institute of History NAS RA) «The Cultural Revolution in Armenia in 1920 - 1940».
1999: defending doctoral thesis, received the degree of Doctor of Historical Sciences. (Institute of History NAS RA) «Armenology in Russia in XIX century».
2006: received title Professor of history of YSU.
