ANOTHER BOOK IN ARMENIAN WAS PUBLISHED FOR FUTURE TURCOLOGISTS AND SPECIALISTS IN INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS
Today, the presentation of the book “Modernization of Turkey’s defense system and reformation of the security sector” was held at YSU.

The author of the monograph is the lecturer at the Faculty of International Relations, specialist in Turkish Studies, Candidate of History Levon Hovsepyan, who, despite his young age, is known for his extensive research and fundamental works in the scientific field of Armenia.

Head of Chair of Political Institutes and Processes of YSU Faculty of International Relations Garik Keryan introduced the author of the book, who stressed that there is s great need in such comprehensive and multisided works in the context of research of the new developments of regional security.

“His works are widely used by historians, specialists in political science and Turkish Studies. His contribution is quite great in the context of new approaches and perceptions in the area of the contemporary Turkish Studies. The book is full of factual data, sources, analysis, and this all is scientifically justified,” - said Mr. Keryan.

Levon Hovsepyan thanked his colleagues for their support in the process of making this research.

“This work is in the result of the researches, conducted in several years. Taking into consideration Turkey’s defense policy trends, its role, the growing military capabilities and the unbalanced situation that prevails in our region, I seriously studied this issue,” -  said the author of the monograph.

Levon Hovsepyan added that he expects comments and suggestions of his colleagues.

YSU Academic Secretary, lecturer at the Faculty of International Relations Menua Soghomonyan and Press Secretary of the RA Ministry of Defense also spoke about the scientific value of this book.

The speakers noted also that from now on students will have at their disposal unique source of information in their native language.
