NOT JUST IN WORDS, BUT IN DEED...
During the meeting with the parents of our soldiers-liberators a number of suggestions were also made.

At the initiative of YSU Rector Aram Simonyan, a meeting with the parents of fallen soldiers- liberators was held at Alma Mater. Having welcomed and congratulated everyone on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of formation of the RA National Army, rector expressed his gratitude to the parents of the perished soldiers.

The contribution of your sons in the process of formation of our Army is invaluable, and we do not only realize it, but always remember those heroes whom we call eternal universitarians. Together with congratulations we want to express our gratitude to the parents of these brave hearts via our activities, - said Mr. Simonyan.

Rector made some proposals, expressing hope that as a result of frequent meetings and collaboration those will be called to life.

According to the first proposal eleven more auditoriums of YSU are going to be called after the perished soldiers-liberators. Currently there are many auditoriums, which have already been called after our brave hearts, but this mission should have a continuous nature.

The second proposal referred to the expansion of the exhibition, dedicated to the soldiers-liberators, at YSU History Museum. Here we need more documents, photographs and biographical data.

They also touched upon the book Yerevan State University in the Artsakh Struggle for Survival, published at YSU. This book, being the first attempt, has shortcomings and omissions, so, it is expected to be republished in coming autumn. This initiative can also be supported by the parents of our freedom fighters, by providing new data.

Another proposal referred to the opening of an internet blog, where each freedom fighter will have his page. Documents, photographs, biographical information will be posted on the blog.

Mr. Simonyan assured parents that the university will also help the families of our soldiers to solve the issues in the area of health-care. They will be provided with the opportunity to visit YSU sanatoriums, and all the expenses will be covered by YSU. Then the Rector expressed his willingness to listen to their questions and problems.

Father of freedom fighter Tigran Sargsyan, Sargis Sargsyan, expressing his gratitude to the university administration and students, Military-Patriotic Education Club Vardanank, said that the communication and ties with the university are really consoling.

In conclusion, Mr. Simonyan presented the parents of soldiers recently published two books: previously unreleased poem Ani, by Hovhannes Shiraz and Artsakh-Karabakh: Bibliography in Russian Language in 1988-2010 (in Russian).
