THREE OF THE BOOKS ARE AUTHORED BY YSU RESEARCHERS
On March 23, the RA Ministry of Diaspora hosted a presentation of a number of books, some of which have been published by YSU Publishing House.

The RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan, Chairman of the State Committee for Science Samvel Harutyunyan, YSU Rector Aram Simonyan, deans of the faculties of Economics and Management, History, Oriental Studies, heads of chairs, prominent scientists, politicians, specialists in Turkic Studies, linguists and public figures, intellectuals and others participated in the event.

RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan highlighted the comprehensive scientific study of history, culture, literature, language problems of Diaspora communities: “These scientific researches will help us to more comprehensively and profoundly recognize the history of the Diaspora, learn the characteristics of the communities, taking into account the recommendations and conclusions.” 

Every year Ministry of Diaspora makes orders of the scientific researches in four areas: studies in the field of the history of the Armenian communities migration included, issues related to the recognition, condemnation, compensation of the Armenian Genocide, the language preservation and development and researches on the settlement of the Syrian Armenians’ problem.

YSU Rector Aram Simonyan welcomed the participants and said that serious research questions have been put forward by the authors: “These issues have been subject for arguments by scientists for years.”

The books published by the representatives of YSU were three: “Nagorno Karabakh conflict in Turkey’s social and political discourse”, authored by the lecturers of the Faculty of Oriental Studies David Safaryan, Gurgen Melikyan, Vardan Voskanyan and Alexander Safaryan, “Ways of raising the Diaspora investment potential in the RA economy”, written by the lecturers of the Faculty of Economics and Management Christine Antonyan and Grigor Hayrapetyan and “The legal issues of the condemnation and elimination of the consequences of the Armenian Genocide”, authored by the lecturer at the Faculty of History Vladimir Vardanyan.

In the end of the event, the Minister of Diaspora said that the cooperation with the research institutions will be continued.
