The event was attended by the representatives of various educational and research institutions, renowned linguists, literary critics, lecturers of the faculty, students and others.

The books have been published by YSU Publishing House and All-National Armenian Educational and Cultural Society. Three of them are the collections of papers, presented at the international and republican scientific conferences.

Dean of the faculty Artsrun Avagyan, congratulating the authors of the books, noted that the conferences that were held at the Faculty of Armenian Philology are devoted to the devotees who have contributed to the development of language and literature, raising various issues and so on.

“I thank all those who have participated in our conferences. These books provide materials for a wide range of readers. They will help not only tutors, but also to solve a number of issues, in which our future linguists and literary critics are engaged,” - said Mr. Avagyan.

He praised the role of the All-National Armenian Educational and Cultural Society, adding that for many years, it actively cooperates with YSU, constantly expanding the scopes of cooperation and uniting scientists.

Head of the Chair of History of Armenian Language Anna Abadjyan stated that the seminars on the problems of modern Armenian language are aimed at revealing the issues of modern language, as well as the discussion of the issues of conservation, development and dissemination of the Armenian language.

After the event, names of the best authors, who will receive the one-time scholarship “Hakob Karapents”, provided by the All-National Armenian Educational and Cultural Society, were announced. Four of them represent the above mentioned faculty and one – Faculty of Journalism. In addition to cash awards they also received some of the recently published books by Hakob Karapents.
