Since 1996: Lecturer of the Chair of International Relations and Diplomacy of the faculty of International Relations of the Yerevan State University.
Since 2007: Deputy of the National Assembly, Member of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly, Chairman of Armenia- Belgium, Armenia – Iraq, Armenia –Philippines Interparliamentary friendship groups, Member of Armenia-Germany, Armenia-Island, Armenia-Poland, Armenia-Switzerland, Armenia-Syria Interparliamentary friendship groups.
Since 2006: Chairman of "Javakhk" compatriotic charity union, Deputy Chairman of the “Powerful Motherland” party
