YSU PARTICIPATED IN THE AEUP CONFERENCE WORKSHOP
On May 16, the first conference-workshop of the Association of European Universities Press brought together the European publishers in the Swedish capital Stockholm, which was also attended by YSU Publishing House.

Heads and representatives of publishing houses of dozens of European universities gathered to discuss the challenges of the information era, how to find new solutions using the latest technologies, as well as issues of cooperation.

The Vice-Chancellor of the Stockholm University Astrid Söderbergh Widding made welcoming remarks on the first day of the event, expressing hope that all publishers participating in this conference will have new achievements and success. This was followed by the speech of the President of the European Copyright Commission Jonas Holm.

Then each of the participating publishing houses presented their activities, methods and vision on problems suggesting ways to overcome them.

Director of YSU Publishing House Karen Grigoryan presented European partners history of our publishing house, present problems and the challenges.

“This workshop was very good platform to present our publishing activities in terms of getting acquainted with others and find partners. Here, in addition to presenting our products and activities, we are also trying to explore new technologies and methods used by our partners, aimed at the development of the publishing business and, most importantly, we are discussing the possibility of cooperation,” - says Karen Grigoryan.

During three working days participants discussed issues and trends concerning the quality, digitization, commercialization, the future of the publishing industry in separate working groups.

97-year-old YSU Publishing House joined the Association of European Universities Press in 2015.
