"MY AIM IS TO PRESENT ARMENIAN LANGUAGE, HISTORY AND ARMENIAN GENOCIDE TO FOREIGN WORLD". DORA SAKAYAN
Dora Sakayan, a professor of German Studies at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, Honorable Doctor, German Studies and Armenologist, Dora Sakayan, who was invited to Armenia on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of YSU.

D. Sakayan, who is known worldwide for her work on Armenology and applied linguistics, was the first to pave the way for the development of Armenology in Canada. Despite her remarkable age, she continues to compose and develop Armenology with the same enthusiasm for presenting the Armenian and Armenian language to the world.

For over 20 years, she come to the homeland every year, bringing with her  a new Armenological book or manuscript that is ready to be published in the YSU publishing house.

She often comes to organize an international or linguistic conferences, which were dedicated to her 65th birthday (1996) and 85th birthday (2016).

Ysu.am had an interview with  D. Sakayan. Topics included her recently published book, her literary work, her contribution to the development of Armenology, and future plans.
